Fall in the Ozarks has arrived with cool nights and warm days!!! Our flowers we have nurtured all summer are at their peak and will soon be gone when the first frost arrives!! I love this time of year, it is one of my favorites. Soon I will be cleaning out all the beds and begin preparations for next Spring, the season of hope. Once the Chrysanthemums have faded we will plant our spring bulbs (Daffodils, Tulips and Hyacinths) that will come up in their place in the spring. They are perfect for planting in bulb gardens because by the time the Spring flowers have lost their glory the Chrysanthemums are beginning to sprout and they grow in their place. Season after season, each year they produce more and the garden becomes more beautiful as time goes by.
We use the round bed to plant spring bulbs and annuals in the spring! In the meantime it makes a pretty place to display our holiday decorations.
And how about some Azaleas in the Fall????
This is a hybrid we added this year.
We also started blue morning glories this year in our Bird Sanctuary!!! Next year they will be gorgeous!
Fall has just arrived here and we will have more pictures of the Ozarks hills as they turn into a color palette of oranges, yellows and green! We'll smell the wonderful smell of burning leaves soon and will see the Harvest Moon shining down on us!!
